TID: Onsdag d. 12. december kl. 17 – 19

STED: Christians Brygge 3, 1219 Copenhagen K.

A football club president, a vice-world champion in Full Contact and the initiator of the Car Show and Auto Magazine in Morocco… all women, and all with a success story, now captured in the book entitled “Moroccan women: Invisible success stories”.

The author, Nadia Lamhaidi is a professor and researcher at the Moroccan Institute of Information and Communication in Rabat (l’Institut Supérieur de l’Information et de la Communication) and has fifteen years of experience in educating journalists and NGOs in media relations, social communication and media literacy.

The book presents the inspirational stories of 14 Moroccan women from a variety of different personal and professional backgrounds. By presenting the book to a Danish audience, it is KVINFO’s aim to contribute to a greater understanding of Moroccan society in Denmark and particularly the evolution of the roles of Moroccan women in the public sphere.

The book has been produced within the framework of KVINFO’s bilateral Moroccan-Danish project focusing on Women’s economic decision-making and leadership. The project is part of a larger effort to promote dialogue and understanding between Denmark and the Arab world funded by the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ Partnership for Dialogue and Reform.

Hard copies of the book will be available at the launch – the full book will also be available online in a PDF version immediately after the event.

The book launch is open to the public. The event will be carried out in English/French.
