A unique opportunity to work across DRC international department to take learning and accountability to the next level and transform theory to actual improvement for the beneficiaries

DRC international department has been growing and now has an operation in +30 countries and a turnover of 1 billion DKK annually. In this growing diverse and multifaceted department the need for stronger, systematic and innovative learning is increasing as well as the recent verification of DRC on Core Humanitarian Standards (CHS) need a systematic follow up to improve and strengthen our programming. Linked to strengthening our programming is also to strengthen further our efforts in supporting our teams in the operation on anti-corruption.

Your tasks

  • Support Innovative learning across the organization (Micro-learning, new technologies, learning across matrixes and networks)
  • Collect and disseminate learning and good practices from studies, reviews and evaluation
  • Coordinate key strategic studies and learning processes
  • Develop, Support and facilitate trainings, in particular in a matrix structure
  • CHS – managing relations with CHS auditors, follow up, develop and support action plan. Develop CEA system and its roll out
  • Anti-corruption – support anti-corruption initiatives, support operations on anti-corruption and help increase our transparency within RCRC. Support the DRC board member of IFRC on compliance/corruption issues
  • Crosscutting P-MEAL work and support partnership sub-unit in learning.

Your profile

Professional:

  • Hold an academic degree in social science, international development or similar
  • At least 5 years’ experience with similar work
  • Documented experience in developing methods or systems for cross learning
  • Strong knowledge of cutting edge approaches and systems for optimising learning
  • Documented experience on developing and executing cross organisational action plans
  • Documented results on raising the level of organisations or companies on anti-corruption and/or branch standards
  • Knowledge and ideas on how to strengthen anti-corruption measures and systems
  • Experience with program management in developing countries
  • Experience with working with programmes in developing countries.

  • Be able to facilitate processes and engage people to use their resources effectively
  • Have personal power and be persistent to promote key issues
  • Have the ability to listen to others
  • Be flexible and able to work with people who differ in culture and capacities

International Department in the Danish Red Cross supports vulnerable people in Africa, Asia, Europe and the Middle East, in close cooperation with Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies in more than 30 countries, and have an annual turnover of more than 750 million Danish kroner annually. We work specifically on building preparedness and response capacity. DRC works both with long term activities and short-term response particular within health, disaster preparedness and response.

We offer

The position is 37 hours a week employment. Your reference will be to the Head of Partnership & Compliance

Salary and employment conditions will according to Danish Red Cross’s collective bargain agreement with HK and AC be between DKK 41,500 and 46,000 including allowances and pension depending on experience and qualifications.
