RIKO proudly presents “The Danish Involvement in Syria by Nagieb Khaja & Lisa Henry”. This is the second seminar in a series of three seminars focusing on the different perspectives and layers in the Syrian conflict and how different actors can make an impact in the conflict.

At this seminar we will present the conflict from the point of view of: Danish journalist Nagieb Khaja and Humanitarian Director of DanChurchAid Lisa Henry.

Nagieb Khaja will provide unique insights into the Syrian conflict, as he is one of the few international journalist who has actually worked in Syria during the conflict.

Lisa Henry will present a humanitarian aid worker’s perspective on the Syrian conflict, drawing on her 20 years of experience in the field. Lisa has worked in Syria and is responsible for DanChurchAid’s teams working in Syria.

Lisa Henry will talk about her experience with relief work in a violent conflict like Syria. Which challengesd does DanChurchAid face, which partners do the NGO work with in the conflict? Can DanChurchAid have their own staff placed in Syria? How can DanChurchAid protect its local co-workers?
