The Compliance Coordinator will be a part of the newly established Strategy and Quality Management Unit at DCA’s Head Office in Copenhagen with direct reporting to the head of unit and working closely with other advisors in the unit.
 
The Strategy and Quality Management Unit (SQM) designs and ensures the implementation of the appropriate quality management framework, which enables the organisation to deliver on its global strategy, commitments and external requirements. The Compliance Coordinator will be coordinating, planning and assisting the processes related to audits and organisational reviews of DCAs compliance against internal and external standards and commitments. This person will have the main responsibility in ensuring that DCA can deliver on audits, organisational reviews, due diligence processes that comes from donors or as a part of our external commitments on quality, such as:

 

  • Risk Management Policy
  • Human Rights Policy
  • General Data Protection Regulation
  • The Core Humanitarian Standard (CHS) certification across all program and project types
  • Charter for Change (C4C)
  • The Performance Audit required by Danida
  • ECHO FPA Audit
  • Donor reviews
  • Donor Due Diligence

 

Our Compliance Coordinator will assist many of our units and country offices and be the go-to person for many colleagues when it comes to documenting that DCA lives up to our internal and external requirements. She/he will work closely with colleagues in the team and in the country offices on planning and supporting follow-up actions as required for DCA to continuously deliver on our commitments.

 
The skills we are looking for:

  • A real interest in the tasks described above (this is more important than many years of professional experience)
  • Post graduate degree in a relevant field
  • Ability to motivate and work as part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills in English is necessary – knowledge of the Danish and French language an advantage
  • Strong networking skills
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to prioritize between many demands
  • Ability to work independently with various and multiple tasks
  • A well-organized and structured mindset
