Future Food Trends: CSR Cocktails (København)

Join NEPCon and SEGES for an informal afternoon of information sharing, networking and cocktails – the event is completely free! We would like to share our experiences from the three-year DANIDA project Responsible Sourcing of Soy, Cattle and Palm Oil, including project highlights and lessons learned through a mixture of short presentations and picture exhibit.

14:15-14:45: NEPCon Project highlights and introduction to the NEPCon Sourcing Hub 

• Our innovative approach to analysing risks in the supply chains for palm oil, soy and beef, based on our experience in the timber sector.
• Our national risk assessments for 10 key producer countries of soy, beef and palm oil, covering 82% of global palm oil production, 52% of global soy production and 16% of global beef production. The national risk assessments detail the risks of negative impact to environment and people in a producer country, and give options to companies sourcing from these places to treat the risks.
• Our 28 detailed responsible sourcing tools from the national risk assessments that make the information directly applicable to companies’ supply chains.
• The NEPCon Sourcing Hub, where all the risk assessments and tools can be downloaded for free.
• Our experiences working with four large food companies sourcing palm oil, soy and beef and helped them analyse a selected supply chain scope for risks.

Meet 

Christian Sloth, Forest Legality Programme Manager NEPCon 

Christian har mere end 10 års erfaring inden for træprodukter, lovlighed og projektledelse for naturressourcer. Han har ekspertviden og erfaring i styring af verifikationsprogrammer inden for lovlighed, udvikling af standarder og procedurer, kontrol af skovlovlighed og risikovurderinger. Han har deltaget meget i EU’s interessentproces om udviklingen af EUTR Due Diligence Requirements. Han har global erhvervserfaring, men har især arbejdet meget i Europa og Asien. Christian har en MSc i arealanvendelse i udviklingslande og MSc i Agroforestry. 

Alexandra Banks, Senior Forest Legality Specialist NEPCon 

Alexandra har flere års erfaring med international skovpolitik og international handelsregulering. I løbet af de sidste 3,5 år har hun arbejdet med NEPCon LegalSource kunder og lovlighedsprojekter. Alexandra har omfattende projekterfaring i Asien-Stillehavet, især i Vietnam, Malaysia og Indonesien. Hendes arbejder primært med projekter som omhandler lovlighed og hun anvender derved hendes juridiske og tekniske baggrund i en række forskellige områder i NEPCon. 

Gustaf Bock, Chefkonsulent, SEGES 

Gustaf Bock bruger i høj grad sig selv, når han forretningsudvikler for fødevarevirksomheder og fødevareproducenter, der arbejder med produktinnovation og værditilvækst. 

Som ekspert på strategi og forretningsudvikling er det Gustafs spidskompetence at sætte fingeren på kundens udfordringer og behov. Det gør han ved at hjælpe med at prioritere mellem kundens forskellige strategiske indsatsområder, sætte det rigtige hold af fødevareeksperter og skabe de nødvendige rammer for innovationen.
