Disinformation and trolling are new additions to our shared vocabulary.

This development reflects a new political reality where the use of fake news as well as (internet) harassment are threatening to undermine political conversation as we have known it.

This seminar offers a perspective on this development – and suggestions for how to deal with it.

The speakers are Zaneta Ozolina, a prominent security theorist from the University of Riga, Latvia, who works on strategic communication, and Jessikka Aro, investigative journalist at Yle, Finland's national public-broadcasting company, and the world’s most famous victim of trolling.
