Lancering af netværk om konfliktforebyggelse og fred (København)

RIKO, Oxfam IBIS, Care Denmark, Danmission, Danish Centre for Conflict Resolution and Danish Refugee Council is happy to launch the Danish Network for Conflict Prevention and Peace!

We invite you to participate in the first event and to celebrate the launch following the talk. Tea & coffee will be served during the event, beer and wine will be served after.

The first event is hosted by Danish Refugee Council, and title:

“How to Institutionalise Conflict Analysis in your Organisation”

Mads Frilander, Global Conflict Analysis Advisor, will present DRC’s strategic approach to conflict analysis and describe how it increasingly is becoming a focus of its international operations. Mads will describe the strategic project he is heading to strengthen DRC’s capacity to design, implement and use conflict analysis in programming and advocacy.

Sanne Bergh will illustrate a way DRC is exploring enhancing focus on conflict analysis in its programming. Sanne will showcase OPSECA, an online conflict analysis platform for collecting, building and sharing analyses of countries, regions or communities, which DRC is currently trialling. Structured around traditional conflict analysis elements such as factor and stakeholder mapping OPSECA can be used to collaboratively populate dynamic and holistic analyses on contexts or situations.

Both presentations will be followed by time for Q&A.

The event will take place on April 20th from 13 to 15 at Globalt Fokus in Rysensteensgade 3, 1564, København V.

About the Network for Conflict Prevention and Peace

The Network for Conflict Prevention and Peace was launched in early April 2018 as a platform for Danish actors to share experiences and build capacities on conflict prevention and peacebuilding. The Network joins an international chorus of actors advocating for addressing violent conflicts through conflict prevention and peacebuilding. Read more about the Network here.
