Advisor on fragility and crisis with a special education focus
 
 
 
Oxfam IBIS is seeking an experienced advisor who can develop our work in the nexus between development and humanitarian work. The focus is on education and on South Sudan, the Chad Basin and other fragile settings in Africa. The position is Copenhagen based and with regular travelling.

Background
Oxfam IBIS has worked for the last 15 years with ‘Education in Emergencies’ in a number of fragile, post-conflict countries. We became a member of Oxfam International in 2016 and have an educational platform in Oxfam. The educational entry point will also be used to link up to Oxfam’s work with community health and protection and will also encompass life skills, gender and youth skills development.

Key Qualifications
Operational and theoretical experience from work in fragile and conflict situations with education as a key component.
Knowledge about humanitarian standards and principles (SHERE, CHS, INEE etc.) and analytical skills
An entrepreneurial mind-set and an ability to formulate programs and fundraise with institutional donors.
Talent for facilitating cooperation between different stakeholders.
Fluency in English, preferably also in French. A grasp of Danish.

Salary and conditions
Salary and working conditions due to present collective agreement with a salary scale between 35.353 DKK and 48.872 DKK including pension and pay supplement. Pay grading will be bases on experience and education.

The position is permanent.
