Nordic Consulting Group is a private consultancy company specialized in international development. Within the framework of the Sustainable Development Goals, we strive to deliver high quality analysis and advice to our clients within the fields of governance, human rights, environment, fragility and conflict, private sector development, health, education etc. Our clients include global bilateral development agencies (e.g. Danida, Sida) and multilateral institutions such as the European Commission, the World Bank, UN agencies, regional development banks, national ministries, NGOs, and the private sector.

We are now looking for an additional project manager with excellent management skills

We offer a fulltime international Project Management position to join our team in Copenhagen. As Project Manager in Nordic Consulting Group you will have a core position in our administrative team and have a great deal of responsibilities from the first day on the job. You will be in charge of tender- and contract management from proposal stage to final invoicing.

There is opportunity to grow in the position and take over more tasks and further responsibilities depending on qualifications and interests.

Key responsibilities

We are looking for a Project Manager to contribute to the marketing, acquisition and management of our international projects. Key tasks include:

  • Management of tender processes and submission of high-quality proposals to clients. This includes recruitment of and negotiation with international consultants for projects, preparation of budgets, quality assurance of financial and technical proposals etc.
  • Coordination of the work flow at tender stage and project start-up stage, including contract negotiations with consultants, consortia agreements and preparation of contracts with various Clients (development agencies, NGOs etc.)
  • Financial management of contacts and back-up services to internal and external consultants financial controlling of contracts
  • Proactive participation in the daily practical tasks of running a secretariat

Who we are looking for

You have hands-on experience managing contracts or projects for international clients and is well acquainted with international development cooperation.  You are well organised and pay strict attention to detail, but at the same time, you can keep an overview of the “big picture” and prioritise your work. You have excellent coordination skills and ability to plan working processes within tight deadlines.

It is no hindrance to have recently graduated as long as you convince us that you will be able to lift the tasks and you come with valuable qualifications from student jobs, internships etc. You have excellent skills in Microsoft applications and programmes including MS Excel and experience with simple bookkeeping or accounting systems is a clear advantage.

You have a personal drive and work well under pressure with tight deadlines. You are dedicated and structured in your work. You have the ability to adapt to a changing environment, and in doing so can be creative. Team work is an important part of our projects, but the good candidate will also be a self-starter. You are smiling and service-minded even when put under pressure, and you have excellent communication skills. Fluency in Danish and English is required and good communication skills in French will be a clear advantage.

Practical

The position is full time (37 hours a week), with work from our office centrally located at Amagerbro in Copenhagen, Denmark. We offer partially paid lunch from our canteen and flexible working hours.
