Job: Vacant MEAL position at Forests of the World

Do you want to support Forests of the World’s work in East Africa and Latin America by helping us monitor our interventions and learn from our experiences? Are you systematic and experienced with accountability and data collection to improve programming? Then you might be the person we are looking for.

For four decades, Forests of the World (FoW) have been working in favour of forest conservation and sustainable development. These years, we see climate change aggravating the pressure on the ecosystems and peoples of the forest. These were already suffering due to a vast loss of biodiversity, as well as unfair marginalization. Forest conservation is the cost-effective way to slow down climate change, reduce biodiversity loss and create sustainable livelihoods for the poorest people in the world, all at the same time. Nevertheless, deforestation continues apace. Halting this trend calls for green solutions, more climate action, biodiversity and global equality.

At FoW we are committed to increase learning and accountability to help improve our work and learn from our initiatives. We see MEAL as part of everyday programme management and as critical to the success of FoW´s global programme.  We are now looking for a dedicated global Programme Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) person to help us strengthen this area of our organisation even further.
