Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala Friday said he has been planning to hold the election of constituent assembly in the third week of November, writes The Himalayan Times.
Talking to a delegation of Professional Alliance for Peace and Democracy (PAPAD) at his official residence at Baluwatar on Friday, the PM said:
– Though, I will discuss with the top leaders of the eight political parties on poll date, I have been planning to hold the CA polls in the third week of November.
Koirala added that he would give priority to restore law and order situation in the country.
He said he would even opt for changing the Home Minister if that was needed to maintain law and order situation.
Nepal has seen repeated riots and disturbance since the King Gyanendra Bir Bikram Shah Dev took direct power in 2005.
The disturbance has continued after the king stepped back in 2006.
