En ny kulturel Udviklings- og Udvekslingsfond (CDEF) mellem Danmark og Vietnam med Danida-penge i ryggen vil fremover yde støtte til kunstnere og forestillinger i Vietnam samt til kulturudvekslingsaktiviteter mellem de 2 lande, skriver udenrigsministeriet på sit website.
CDEF støtter udviklingen af moderne kunst i bredeste forstand i Vietnam gennem udveksling mellem og gensidig inspiration af vietnamesiske og danske kunstnere.
Støtte gives til en bred vifte af kunst- og kulturaktiviteter og udveksling. Der lægges særlig vægt på arrangementer med et udviklingsperspektiv for vietnamesiske kunstnere, gerne med dansk deltagelse, samt til vietnamesiske kunstneres deltagelse i arrangementer i Danmark

Hvem kan søge?
Både danske og vietnamesiske enkeltpersoner samt organisationer kan søge om projektstøtte. Ansøgningen skal indeholde relevant dokumentation for støtteberettigelse.

KULTURARBEJDET I VIETNAM
Den Danske Ambassade i Vietnam tager aktivt del i kulturelle arrangementer, og kulturarbejdet er en interegreret del af det danske bistandsarbejde
We see culture as not only artistic expressions, but also the total complex of mental structures and shared values, beliefs, and knowledge that underpin behaviour and characterise a society or a social group.
Support to culture contributes to human empowerment and pluralism and thereby to poverty reduction, which is the overriding goal of Danish development assistance.
Denmark participates in major annual activities in Vietnam, such as the European Jazz Festival and the European Film Festival.
2005 was the year of the Hans Christian Andersen 200-year anniversary and this was duely celebrated in Vietnam with a big gala show at the Hanoi Opera on April 2, the establishment of Andersen childrens clubs in Hanoi, a Fairytale Express and several other events.
Until now, the cultural activities have been funded through different sources, including sponsors, various Danish funds and contributions from the Embassy itself.
At the end of 2005, the Board of Danida approved a culture support programme to Vietnam with a total budget of 13,9 million DKR for a 5 year period from 2006 to 2010.
The culture programme
The culture programme, from 2006 to 2010, called “Vietnam-Denmark Development Cooperation in Culture” is now implemented with several Vietnamese partners and comprises the following components:
– Dialogue amongst cultural managers and decision makers
– Arts education in primary school
– Childrens literature
– Support to arts at grassroots level
– Arts management
– Culture and Development Exchange Fund (CDEF)
– Regional and Ethnic Culture Fund (RECF)
