Comments to DRAFT Civil Society Policy

On page 5: Amended so it says:
The objective of Denmark’s support to civil society is: That civil society has the space and capacity to gain…..

Then the box explaining the ‘Global South’ shall be brought later. Instead a box explaining ‘Civil Society’ shall be put here i.e.

‘Civil Society’ is all international partnerships among the actors described in 1.2.

So as suggested the words’ in/from Global South’ shall likewise be deleted relevant places on page 5, 6 and 11.

These changes will fit very well with aims, where there is no discrimination between North and South. And then the civil society can be seen as a unified actor across borders.

On page 9: Government institutions should be included as well as private companies

On page 24 under “Delegated pool funds”:
Danish civil Society actors shall be encouraged to include frequent visits in Denmark from their partners in their strategies in order to increase the mutual understanding of global affairs as well as to increase the direct people to people linkages.

On page 26 to be added:
Partnerships which include government institutions in Denmark and abroad shall likewise be seen as a possibility, when the aims of such partnerships lie within this policy as spelled out in earlier chapters.
