FLSmidth has signed a contract worth approx. 60 million euro (450 millioner DKR) with Arabian Cement Company (ACC) in Egypt for the supply of engineering and equipment for a 6.000 tonnes per day cement clinker production line.

The plant is to be built near the city of Suez and is expected to be operational in the spring of 2008, according to the firms website, www.fls.com Friday.

FLSmidth is to supply all the machines and auxiliary equipment for the plant in addition to the civil design. Many FLSmidth divisions and subsidiary companies will participate in the project as subcontractors.

The scope of supply includes an ATOX raw mill with a MAAG gear unit, a complete ILC 3-support kiln with a 5-stage preheater, an SF Cross-Bar cooler, crusher, raw material stores, silos, electrostatic precipitators, and a complete process control system.

The buyer, Arabian Cement Company, is a Spanish-Egyptian joint venture company set up for production of cement clinker for export, primarily to Cementos La Union, the Spanish partners clinker grinding plants in Spain.
