This workshop will give you practical experiences in dealing with social issues using Theatre of the Oppressed through Image Theatre, Forum Theatre and Invisible Theatre. You will be trained both in making plays, act and to take the role of the joker/facilitator.
“Theatre of the Oppressed” is a powerful technique when dealing with conflicts. Working with this technique will encourage and empower both its actors and audiences to express their opinions and take action to step in and change the world around them.
We are looking for you who have an interest of changing the social rules and
-are interested in learning a creative way to reflect on problems
-have experience or interest in dealing with social conflict
-have little or no previous experience with theatre of the oppressed
-are in the age 17 to 30.
The course will be built upon the pedagogical priciple of learning-by-doing which means, that the whole course will have a practical focus. Do not expect to get a lot of theoretical lectures and informations, but expect to get methods on ‘theatre of the opressed’ and to try them out.
This will give you a sense of how the methods and tools work in practice, and it will give you an idea of how you can apply them in your everyday life.

Unfortunately only participants who do not require a visa to Denmark to join the course can participate
