Why do people from the Jewish diasporic world of the United States and England choose to move into a Jewish community in the occupied territories?

The main topic dealt with in this seminar relates to exploring the formation of religious, nationalists and political ideologies in the Jewish diasporic world focusing on the group of Jewish diasporas contemplating or now living at the frontiers of the nation state.

This in order to understand the background and motives for why people from the Jewish diaspora decide to migrate to and settle in one of the most disputed and dangerous areas in the region.

The lecture specifically deals with how and why this political, religious and nationalist radicalization takes place and what potential influence these radical Diasporas might cause – seen in connection with the Israeli/Palestinian conflict – when they decide to migrate to the West Bank and become migrant settlers?
