On the sidelines of Copenhagen Consensus 2012 – the global project where Nobel Laureates prioritize solutions to major global challenges – university students have a unique opportunity to engage with leading economists, and to engage with the latest, cutting-edge economic analysis on the investments that governments, donors, and philanthropists should prioritize to make a difference in developing nations.
Speakers include:
Bjørn Lomborg, director of the Copenhagen Consensus Center
John Hoddinott, International Food Policy Research Institute, on “Hunger and Under-nutrition”
Alix Zwane, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, on “Sanitation and Water”
Dean Jamison, University of Washington, on “Infectious Disease”
Thomas Schelling (Nobel Laureate), Vernon Smith (Nobel Laureate), Finn Kydland (Nobel Laureate), Robert Mundell (Nobel Laureate), and Nancy Stokey (University of Chicago).
