TIME: Wednesday-Thursday, February 8-9, 08:30-16:00 both days

VENUE: Copenhagen, exact venue unknown

The workshop will help you to plan and implement monitoring that is sensitive to the effect of an intervention on different groups of women and men and captures the impact on gender equality and rights.

Day one focuses on ‘what’ to monitor: developing gender-aware and rights-sensitive indicators. Day two explores ‘how’ to collect and use data, taking into account gender relations, the rights addressed by the intervention and the practicalities of programme/project management. The agenda will include time to apply new knowledge and skills to own work – participants are asked to bring a programme /project plan for which they need to develop indicators and a monitoring plan.

Participants should have a basic understanding of gender analysis and some familiarity with results-based planning.

Trainers are Chris Hunter, senior advisor on social development and gender equity from the Royal Tropical Institute (KIT) in the Netherlands and Olga Ege Coordinator at Gendernet.

Registration: The fee for the course is 400 DKK per participant. Participant will be notified and receive information on payment details and final program by e-mail. Register to Gendernet here.
