The international NGO, “World Bicycle Relief”, started distributing 50.000 bicycles in Zambia on Wednesday in a program designed to make it easier for thousands of children in the country to get to school.
Meanwhile, Zambia said on Tuesday it now requires 800 million US dollar for new power projects and plans to borrow up to half of that amount in 2009 to help ease disruptions of electricity supply.
