Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) has refused to pay back a 1 million Euro ransom paid by the Dutch government for the release of one of its aid workers held by Russian kidnappers. The International medical aid agency said it had not been involved in the Netherlands action. The Dutch government – which only recently admitted to having paid the ransom – said it had lent MSF the money on the understanding the agency would repay it as soon as it could.
