The economies of Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda expanded 6 percent or more in 2006, and Finance Ministers on Thursday projected faster growth this year in East Africa.
The three neighboring countries – which release their budgets on the same day each year, as required by the six-year-old East African Community – have shown economic growth since 2003, but this was the first year Kenyas rate topped 6 percent.
