Mandag kl. 16 åbner Nordiska Afrikainstitutet i Uppsala nord for Stockholm en stor udstilling om de nordiske landes mangeårige økonomiske og politiske støtte til kampen mod apartheid og det dav. hvide mindretalsstyre i Sydafrika.
En støtte, der på mange måder var skelsættende for de nordiske landes rolle og profil på kontinentet.
“African liberation-exhibit” er led i instituttets 50-års fejring hedder det i en pressemeddelelse fredag.

Visitors will get a chance to explore the powerful words and images of liberation movements in sub-Saharan Africa.
The institute’s library will exhibit posters, pamphlets (brochurer), publications and books that played an integral part in the liberation of Angola, Guinea-Bissau, Cape Ver-de, Mozambique, Namibia, Zimbabwe and South Africa.
