Kvinde med i ledelsen for BFT

Marianne Kress will assume the position as Chief Technical Adviser in the Technical Advisory Services – Danidas Bistandsfaglige Tjeneste (BFT) – from September 2007.

Marianne Kress will be part of the management group of TAS together with Morten Elkjær and John Nielsen (og indtræder dermed i ledelsen for BFT).

Marianne Kress is 43 years old and has a Master in International Development Studies and a Bachelor in Public Managerial Economics from Roskilde University Centre (1992).

The last four years she has been working at the Danish Embassy in Ouagadougou (Burkina Faso). Main areas of responsibility have been overall planning of the Embassys activities and quality assurance of the development assistance.

She has previously worked two years in Zimbabwe (NORAD), she has also lived in Sudan and Niger for shorter periods. Before joining the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2001 she worked as a consultant in a large Danish consultancy company.

Her main area of work has been good governance, civil society, organisational assessments, public sector reforms, harmonisation and alignment, donor coordination, and management.
