The largest labor union in Denmark, Fagligt Fælles Forbund (3F), has sent one representative to Hanoi, Vietnam to establish the unions first office in Asia, writes ScandAsia.dk in its upcoming April-issue.

Having arrived in March, 3F representative Bjarne Harder Larsen is still in the process of creating contacts to Danish businesses in Vietnam and the surrounding region.

– The whole purpose of creating contact between the union in Denmark and the Danish companies out here is to make sure that the basic values will not be flushed down the drain. We are not focused on the paychecks of the Danish employees, but rather on the amount of working hours (for the local workforce, red.) and the work environment, Bjarne Harder Larsen tells ScandAsia.dk.

3F in Vietnam can be contacted at [email protected].
