Frankfurter Rundschau reports Tuesday that German Chancellor Gerhard Schröders cabinet at the end of May likely will announce a step-by-step plan – previously proposed by Development Minister Wieczorek-Zeul – to increase Germanys development aid to 0,5 percent by 2010, and 0,7 percent by 2014.
This would allow Schröder to avoid going to the G8 summit in July with empty hands.
