FREETOWN, SIERRE LEONE, 20 November 2008: WHO said there has been no improvement in worldwide maternal mortality.
– Data collected over 15 years has proved that there has been no improvement world wide on maternal mortality. Major part of the world maternal death take place is sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia, Dr. Arcangues of WHO said. – This is a hopeless situation, a lot can be done, it is not a matter of means of resources but of political will.
