Seminar: What does the future hold for young people in Ukraine: Peace or Powerlessness? (København)

UNFPA Representative in Ukraine Caspar Peek will talk about:

  • What is the current situation in Ukraine, in light of the continued locked political situation and the ongoing armed conflict in eastern Ukraine?
  • How is the low involvement of the younger generations a challenge for establishing a stable democracy? In Ukraine, youth makes up 30% of the country’s population, yet their active participation in politics is lower than in other European countries and declining.
  • Why is the meaningful participation of young people in the governance process key to sustainable governance and development?
  • What is UNFPA together with partners doing?
