Empowering girls through education

Women are empowered by getting an education, but girls and women also need to be empowered through how and what they are taught in the classroom.

It is no longer enough to simply make sure that girls and women get access to education. It is not enough to make sure that girls and women complete their education. We need to look at how we make sure that girls and women learn their worth, their power and their agency to change the world.

You will:

Hear stories of the lives of girls being transformed not just through getting an education, but through how and what they were taught

Meet strong, powerful women and men from around the world who work to make education gender transformative and empowering

Discuss how Denmark and Danish NGOs can support girls empowerment through education
