Seminar: Agenda 2030 – The Role of Religion & Religious Actors (København)
The Global Focus “Network on Religion and Development”, the International Partnership on Religion & Development (PaRD) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark have the pleasure of inviting you to a special session during the PaRD General Assembly titled “Agenda 2030 – The Role of Religion & Religious Actors”.
The global annual meeting of PaRD brings an international pool of knowledge on religion and sustainable development to Copenhagen on May 2. During this open session, participants from the Danish NGO-community will get an introduction to the work of PaRD, focusing on how the network contributes to more coherent, inclusive and effective international cooperation. In addition, key speakers will give a mosaic of practical examples on how religion and religious actors contribute to the achievement of the 2030 Agenda. The meeting will be an opportunity to tap into this broad network’s knowledge and expertise and meet the 100 global PaRD participants.

Rev. Dr. Kenneth Mtata, Secretary General of the Zimbabwe Council of Churches.
Ms. Eiman Kheir, Head of Diaspora Division, African Union Commission.
Ms. Andrea Kaufmann, World Vision International “Faith Action for Children on the Move”
Imam Mr. Abdul Wahid Pedersen, co-founder of Danish Muslim Aid and member of the Danish Network on Religion and Development.
Rev. Mads Christoffersen, Secretary General of the National Council of Churches in Denmark.
Background
PaRD brings governmental and intergovernmental entities together with diverse civil society organisations and faith-based organisations to engage the social capital and capacities vested in diverse faith communities for sustainable development, humanitarian assistance and peace work for the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
