DIGNITY: Full-day Seminar on Wellbeing and Security Needs of Urban Children and Adolescents in the Digital Era

Do you ever experience that questionnaires and scales are not translated and adapted appropriately before they are used in different cultural or linguistic settings? Do you encounter challenges in the design of cultural adaptations that are developed from an original evidence-based intervention?

The one-day seminar is a unique opportunity for people interested in the fields of psychology, education, public health, medical sciences, social work, human rights, and other areas that focus on wellbeing and security needs of children and adolescents. You will hear tips on using data-driven approach to inform decision-making and planning of intervention to improve mental health and wellbeing outcomes and to facilitate multi-agency work to deliver coordinated service on violence prevention, using the latest data from Indonesia, German and USA.

We provide a platform to discuss the challenges of translational research and implementation science: how to ensure cultural adaption of questionnaire/scales and adapt an evidence-based model that bring together parents, communities schools and public and private stakeholder to strengthen children’s resilience, enhance wellbeing and improve social cohesion in different cultural contexts.
