Konference: People in Mixed Migration Flows – A Complex Reality (København)

The Danish Refugee Council and the Mixed Migration Centre are delighted to invite you to the “People in mixed migration flows – a complex reality” conference, supported by the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The conference will bring together practitioners, policy makers and researchers to address the often-simplified narratives of drivers and aspirations of migration, to discuss the delivery of evidence-based programming and to share best practices in preparedness and responses in the context of mixed migration.

The event will focus on two themes: Drivers of Migration and Aspiration of migration and Risk, Vulnerabilities and Coping Strategies of people in mixed migration flows. Remarks will be delivered by Martin Bille Hermann, Danish State Secretary for Development Policy, and Christian Friis Bach, Secretary General of DRC, with key notes by representatives of civil society.

The Mixed Migration Centre, as a leading global source of independent and high-quality data, information, research and analysis on mixed migration, will present the first Mixed Migration Review (MMR). This flagship report is a unique, international compendium and collation of information, data and discourse around mixed migration.
