Launch of pledge: Building a better future for all, with human rights at its heart

Join the launch of the Sustainable Recovery Pledge. More and more countries, including Denmark, are signing a pledge to express determination to put human rights at the heart of COVID-19 recovery efforts.

The COVID-19 pandemic continues to have devastating effects on societies and economies around the world. It is negatively impacting the enjoyment of human rights and hampering progress towards achieving the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the 17 Sustainable Development Goals.

A growing number of UN Member States are now signing a Sustainable Recovery pledge to build back better from the pandemic, using the 2030 Agenda, grounded in States’ human rights obligations, as well as the Paris Agreement, as the blueprint.

The Danish Institute for Human Rights is supporting the pledge and will co-host the launch which take place in conjunction with the 47th session of the Human Rights Council. We encourage all partners to support the pledge and to join the launch.
