Report Launch: Early Marriage among Female Youth in Displacement (København)
Save the Children Denmark is pleased to invite you to a research report launch on the findings of an in-depth research study on early marriage among female youth in displacement in South Sudan and the Kurdish Region of Iraq. The research team followed a cohort of approximately 100 girls aged 14-23 for 1.5 years to understand the experiences, challenges, opportunities, and constraints they face related to early marriage as a form of gender-based violence.
The presentation will highlight aspects of the research focusing on sexual and reproductive health and rights related to early marriage, the girls’ own perspectives on early marriage, and their experience of life after early marriage. The event will end with a Q&A session followed by a light lunch at 13:30.
