Seminar: Sustainable Development Goal #5: Gender Equality through Technology (København)

The SDGs are a collection of 17 global goals that are a call to action from the member countries of the United Nations for a more equitable and sustainable world. Women’s empowerment and gender equality are essential to achieving the SDGs. This is reinforced by the fact that issues and targets around gender equality are reflected throughout the agenda in addition to there being a specific goal — SDG#5— on gender equality. SDG#5 on gender specifically  includes a target on women’s use of enabling technology, as a means of implementing the goal.

This meet-up will have a focus of highlighting the direct link between women and technology for achieving SDG #5, with the aim to inspire companies and leaders to contribute to SDGS#5.

No matter how large or small, and regardless of their industry, all companies can contribute to the SDGs.There are huge business opportunities inherent in tackling the world’s toughest problems, but so far only a handful of companies have shown they understand that.

These few leaders stand to benefit from recognizing the SDGs and gender equality as a powerful catalyst for the innovation, partnerships and market transformations that build businesses.
