Seminar: “Valorizing Savings and Loans Groups – the added value of digital monitoring and evaluation” Annual General Meeting of Danish Forum for Microfinance

Savings and Loan Associations are often part of programming as major vehicles for combating poverty. Often they are, however, not carefully monitored, as they form part of integrated programmes with broader aims.

This conference focuses on the advantages of digital monitoring through the SAVIX system leading to greater profits and also additions in terms of aims related to gender equality, livelihood and broader financial inclusion issues.

A researcher team led by prof. Roy Mersland have looked thoroughly at the statistical aspects, whereas Danish Forum for Microfinance has undertaken a learning project where East African partners will present lessons learnt about the advantages and challenges of digitized monitoring.
