World Bank President Jim Yong Kim, World Bank Managing Director Caroline Anstey and members of the newly selected Steering Committee of the Global Partnership for Social Accountability (GPSA), will discuss key issues and opportunities for engagement around social accountability and the science of delivery in a special roundtable discussion on December. 17.

The global panel will explore how and to what extent social accountability, including citizen feedback mechanisms, can make development interventions more effective and improve service delivery.

In April 2012, the World Bank announced the establishment of the GPSA, a new facility aimed at scaling up support for social accountability by citizen groups and civil society organizations (CSOs) in developing countries.

The Steering Committee consists of representatives from CSOs, donors and governments.

The discussion will be an opportunity to generate and gather valuable insights to shape the work of the GPSA.

What do you think is needed for social accountability to improve service delivery in your country? We will be taking in your feedback for the discussion. Let us know your questions and comments in advance below and follow #wblive for updates.
