Standard Bank of South Africa and the Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa (AGRA), chaired by former UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan, Wednesday joined forces to set up a fund to support small farmers and agricultural businesses in Ghana, Tanzania, Mozambique and Uganda.
Meanwhile, UN Environment Program (UNEP) Executive Director Achim Steiner said on Thursday, that investments of 750 billion US dollar could create a Green New Deal to revive the world economy and protect the environment, perhaps aided by a tax on oil.
