Nepals warring politicians must tackle the Himalaya countrys growing social inequality if they are to achieve lasting peace, the UN Development Program (UNDP) warned Monday.
Meanwhile, Nepali state-run newspaper The Rising Nepal reported on Tuesday, that Nepal has witnessed a slight improvement in Human Development Index (HDI) – 1,6 percent per year from 2001 to 2006 – as the index rose to 0.509 in 2006, up from 0.471 in 2001.
