MOGADISHU, 16 December 2008: Somalia President Yusuf has announced on Tuesday a new prime minister just hours after parliament reinstated the sacked one. He said: – I insist in my decision to make a new government after firing Nur Hussein’s cabinet.

Mohammad Mohamed Guled was named the new prime minister. He was the former interior minister of the transitional federal government. The nomination of the new prime minister took place in the presidential palace in Baidoa, early in the morning in the presence of many MPs.

The sacked Somalia premier Nur said on Monday the president wants a new civil war in the country. Somalia’s parliament voted on Monday to reinstate Nur.
