The Kenyan newspaper East African Standard reports that a new performance rating initiative for organizations dealing with HIV/AIDS has been launched to step up the fight against the scourge.
The Rapid Returns Initiative (RRI), now requires the 1.500 community-based non-governmental organizations (CBOs) benefiting from an ongoing World Bank project across the country to report specific results in 100 days, according to the World Bank press review Thursday.
The RRI performance index is an addition to stringent accounting procedures recently introduced by the National AIDS Control Council (NACC).
