Seminar: Forsknings-samarbejde gavner både Nord og Syd

Internationalisation of research is increasing and research for development needs to be approached from a global perspective. At the same time research partnerships and research cooperation for development happen in a much divided world.

Internationalisation of research is increasing and research for development needs to be approached from a global perspective. At the same time research partnerships and research cooperation for development happen in a much divided world.

* So what are the opportunities, challenges and benefits of North-South research partnerships from the perspective of the Global South?
* Is there anything to gain from a closer regional cooperation in networks and programmes?
* What does it take to bridge the traditional North/South divide?
* How do we best feed the research agenda into the policy agenda?

Are you interested in debating these issues and listening to voices and messages from South Africa and the Nordic countries, then register for the thematic seminar organised by DDRN.

General Assembly 2011

On the background of many members’ appreciation of DDRN’s news services, North-South linkages and multi-stakeholder approach, efforts are being put into transforming the network to an association based on voluntary involvement when Danida funding expires by the end of June 2011.

Together with a report on the activities carried out in 2010-2011, this issue will be the central one at the 6th DDRN General Assembly. Decisions will be taken on:

Proposals emerging from the initiatives taken at the brainstorming meeting on May 12, 2011
* Amendment of Articles of Association
* Election of a new board
* It is important for the future of the network that many members contribute.
