The seminar will discuss issues with extreme water variability – droughts and floods – linked to climate change and potential solutions with lessons from Africa and Asia.

We will dedicate 30 minutes to answer questions from the audience members. Presenter will be Vladimir Smakhtin, based at the International Water Management Institute (IWMI), and CCAFS Director Dr. Bruce Campbell will moderate.

Organised by the CGIAR Research Program on Climate Change, Agriculture and Food Security (CCAFS), based with the Department of Plant and Environmental Sciences, KU.
