By: Tove Degnbol, Head of Department, Technical Advisory Services, DANIDA

The overall objective of the framework is to strengthen research capacity in priority countries and create new knowledge capable of alleviating development problems. Furthermore, the framework has as its sub-objectives the production of innovative and relevant development research results and an increase in the use of those results.

Tove Degnbol will present key elements of the framework and elaborate on its key principles for future support. Partner priorities and ownership is stressed combined with the adoption of a Human-Rights Based Approach, a greater attention paid to gender equality and the fact that the Danish support gradually should be concentrated geographically on 5-7 countries.

Tove Degnbol is Head of Department at the Technical Advisory Service at DANIDA. She has worked in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for more than a decade in varying positions and prior to that she has worked as research fellow and as consultant (including 5 years based in Tanzania).

The seminar series is made in collaboration with Department of Education, Aarhus University and Department of Science education, University of Copenhagen.
