Professor André Briend, Inaugural seminar: “Childhood malnutrition – successes and challenges”

A seminar is held to mark the appointment of André Briend as Affiliated Professor in Child Nutrition at the Department of Nutrition, Exercise and Sports, University of Copenhagen.

André Briend has more than 30 years of experience in paediatric nutrition research in low-income countries, with particular focus on the physiology and treatment of children with severe acute malnutrition.

He played a key role in the development of Ready-To-Use Therapeutic Food, which have had a dramatic impact on the way children with severe acute malnutrition are managed today.
