Health in the post-2015 sustainable development framework

WHAT?

Recognizing that the process is still ongoing, the Danish Network for Health and Development would like to invite you to a debate that intends to examine and discuss the positioning of health in the post-2015 sustainable development framework – both the currently drafted positioning as well as the expectations for the final agreement in September 2015.

Also, the debate will look beyond the sustainable development agreement, and consider how it is likely to be implemented.

The purposes of the activity are:

To inform the participants on the consultation and negotiation processes up until and after the agreement of sustainable development framework; on how health has been incorporated in the current negotiation documents; and how it is being debated among various stakeholders.

To make the participants reflect upon what their hopes and expectations are for the positioning of health in the final framework, and how they expect its current position to impact their own specific work and the broader health sector in the post-2015 framework respectively.

Schedule:

The debate will be based on presentations from a panel of international and national stakeholders, who will share views from their different involvements in health in the post-2015 process:
