Background

The framework agreement announced by Iran and EU marks a historic turning point in the relations between Iran, the EU and the USA.

It will, if properly implemented, allow Iran to fully rejoin the international community, Barack Obama said in his subsequent press meeting.

In this DIIS seminar we will discuss the content of the framework agreement and its wider ramifications: how it will affect Iran’s domestic situation -politically and financially – and how it may change Iran’s relations to the EU, the USA and its regional neighbors.
