Et udsyn fra selve regionen
A host of international actors are today engaged in the protracted Syrian conflict. How is this perceived by international relations scholars working inside the Arab region?
In this seminar three distinguished experts on Middle East regional politics from the American University in Beirut discuss the trends in international politics in Syria:
* How should we understand the UN track record in Syria?
* How does the regional instability generated by the Syrian conflict relate to broader patterns in global politics?
* Might some of its causes and consequences be beyond our ability to control?
* And how does the Syrian conflict relate to the general decline of US hegemony in the Middle East?
