ACCRA, 17 October 2008: President John Kufuor of Ghana has issued a 14-day ultimatum to leaders of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), and persons said to be circulating information that he has been involved in a botched multi-million dollar oil deal to retract and apologise or prepare to meet him in court.
The Presidential Spokesperson, Andrew Awuni, described the allegation as ‘wicked liars’ and a figment of the imagination of his accusers, but he wants them to retract and apologize to him or meet him in court to prove their case.
