GHM debate: What comes first: Education or Health?

The meeting is followed by Global Health Minders Annual Meeting.

Most of the world agrees on the benefits of education… but what is so smart about schooling? Should we not first make sure that people are healthy enough to learn something before we start teaching them?

Come and join us in a Global Health Minders debate on 19 June 2014 at 15.00 at the University of Copenhagen. Journalist Knud Vilbyand Member of the Danish Parliament Lone Loklindt will open the debate with short presentations and facilitator Mette Holm is ready to ask the critical questions and guide the discussion.

SPEAKERS:

  • Knud Vilby is an author and consultant, specialising in Africa and development.
  • Lone Loklindt is a Member of the Danish Parliament  for the Social Liberal Party.
  • Mette Holm is an author and free lance journalist, specialising in Asia, development and human rights issues.
