Feminist and Islamic Perspectives: New Horizons of Knowledge and Reform
You are invited to join a public debate and a series of presentations on Islamic feminism in light of the Arab Uprisings of 2011. Panelists in the discussion are Professor Omaima Abu Bakr, Cairo University, Sheikh Gamal Qutb, Islamic scholar and former chairman of Azhar Fatwa Committee, and the Danish Minister of Development Cooperation, Christian Friis Bach.
DEDI, WMF and KVINFO have the pleasure of inviting you to a joint event on the occasion of the public launch of the book ‘Feminist and Islamic Perspectives: New Horizons of Knowledge and Reform,’ edited by Professor Omaima Abu Bakr from Cairo University.
The aim of the book launch is to create a lively, interesting and stimulating debate on Islamic feminism in light of the Arab Uprisings of 2011 and the current political situation in the MENA region.
